Food Service
Students will be placed into either position at the Manager's discretion.
FOOD SERVICE WORKER. The essential functions of this position include food prep, serving, washing dishes, deaning kitchen and dining rooms, and cleaning restrooms. Must be able to lift upto 70 lbs. Long black pants and non-skid black shoes are required while working in the Food Service Department.
RUSTIC CAFE WORKER. The essential functions of this position include food prep, serving customers, washing dishes, cleaning and stocking the Rustic Cafe. Will be responsible for working with the cash register and cash reports. Must be friendly and outgoing, have good customerservice skills and able to work unsupervised. Must be able to up to 70 lbs. Working schedules inthe Rustic Cafe will vary but will include mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. Long blackpants and non-skid black shoes are required while working in the Food Service Department. Adventure Activities Facilitator
Under the direction of the Adventure Activities Director, the Rocks and Rope Facilitator will assist with facilitating climbing wall sessions, running the Adventure Activities info desk and leading on grounds guided hikes.
• Answering guest questions regarding Adventure Activities and programs ran through the Boone Family Mountain Center
• Setting up and tearing down indoor and outdoor climbing walls
• Belaying and facilitating both the indoor and outdoor climbing walls
• Assist with Aerial Challenge course and gear
• Leading short on grounds guided hikes
• Facilitating low ropes course
• Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings
• Know and adhere to policies and procedures set forth by YMCA of the Rockies
• Use a computer to assist guests in enrolling for Adventure Activities and enter data prior to and after activities
• Handle cash/credit cards and use a cash register to record
